The plan, as of this moment, is to travel down to Rhode Island around May 19th or 20th to visit with family before I leave, then I’ll head over to Connecticut to hang out with my cousin. He has generously offered to drive me over to the Maryland area where I plan to start the actual walking.
I plan to start on the C&O Canal on to Cumberland where I will hook up with the Great Allegheny Passage for a bit. Before Pittsburgh I’ll hop off of the Allegheny and hop on to some bike trails in the area and wind myself westerly towards Ohio.
And possibly aim for Bellaire, Ohio and the “plastic block” (aka Lego) museum.
Then just keep heading west. The only definite stops right now are Le Claire, Iowa and Boulder, CO. Who knows how I’ll get there or what path I’ll end up taking. There’s plenty of time to figure it out and so many wacky wonders that need to be seen in the heartland of America. The more research I do the more I want to see!
